Professor Ming-Lung Yu is the President of Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) and a Chair Professor at the College of Medicine, KMU, Taiwan. He is also an Adjunct Chair Professor at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU). In 2022 to 2024, he was the Dean of the College of Medicine, Center of Excellence for Metabolic Associated Fatty Liver Diseases and Senior Vice President of National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Professor Yu, a board-certified internist and gastroenterologist, currently teaches at the KMU and a Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital visiting staff. Professor Yu’s research interests in the epidemiology and natural history of viral hepatitis have led him to publish more than 600 scientific original and review articles. He also holds various editorial roles in many outstanding journals and he is invited as a policy-maker and a consulting expert on the Prevention of HBV, HCV of Health Promotion Administration in Taiwan government. His fruitful research results in Hepatitis leads him to earn Taiwan local and global recognition.
