1. Confirmation of Registration
- Participants who pay the registration fee online or by cheque will receive an official e-receipt upon successful payment.
- All participants will receive a reminder email (with a unique QR code) on April 30, 2024. Please present the QR code at the Registration Counter to collect the forum package (e.g., name badge, online/physical programme book, etc.).
- Name badges are required at all times for identification purposes and admission to the event venue. If you have lost or forgotten to bring your badge, you can make a replacement request at the Registration Counter with a reprinting cost of HKD$50.

An exhibition of medical products will be held in Rooms N104-N110, aiming to bridge users and the industry by showcasing the latest advances available on the market.

4. Lunch Symposium
Complimentary lunch will be provided at the East and West Foyers on a first-come-first-served basis (limited quota). The lunch distribution time is as follows:

Participants are also welcome to select their preferred restaurant outlet nearby. In addition to the restaurants at HKCEC, various outlets are conveniently located at Great Eagle Centre, Harbour Centre, Sun Hung Kai Centre, and Brim 28, all within a 10-20 minute walking distance.

Coffee and tea will be served at the Exhibition Area (Rooms N104-N110) during the designated times.
6. Accreditations
- Accreditations have been awarded by various Colleges of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine and other accrediting bodies in Hong Kong. For details, please refer to the "Accreditation" section.
- Participants who wish to obtain CME/CNE/CPD points must signify their attendance at the Accreditation Counter (East Foyer). Please observe the attendance (and other) requirements specified by the accrediting bodies and complete the post-event evaluation.
7. Simultaneous Interpretation Service
The main language of HKMF will be English, but simultaneous interpretation in Mandarin will also be provided. If you require headphones for translation, please borrow them from the Simultaneous Interpretation (SI) Counter outside Room N104.
8. Letter of Invitation
- The Event Coordinator can provide a letter of invitation to HKMF participants after successful registration. This invitation letter can serve as a supporting document for leave, travel and visa arrangements but DOES NOT imply the provision of any financial or other support.
- To request the letter, please contact the Event Coordinator at [email protected] with your personal details. The processing time is about 7 working days.
9. Certificate of Attendance
- Participants of the HKMF will receive an e-certificate of attendance (for both days). Please ensure that your registration name is correct and inform the Event Coordinator of any changes on or before May 2, 2024.
- The download link will be accessible from May 13, 2024 to July 13, 2024 at https://medicine-intranet.hku.hk/28thHKMF. Any requests for an e-certificate made beyond this period will be subject to an administration fee of HKD$50. Please note that physical copies of the certificate will not be issued.
10. Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made by email and reach the Event Coordinator on or before April 12, 2024. Refunds will be completed within two months after the event, but an administrative charge of 50% will be deducted. Cancellation requests made after the above deadline will NOT be considered. All fees are non-transferable.
11. Event Photo and Video
The event organizer will appoint photographer(s) to take photos and videos for any purposes in connection with the promotion, marketing, or recording of HKMF. However, participants' identification will not be revealed without prior consent. Unless authorized by the event organizer, any form of recording during the presentations is prohibited.
12. Liability
- The event organizer will NOT be responsible for personal accidents, loss and/or damage to private property during HKMF. Participants should take care of their personal belongings at all times.
- Any lost item found will be transferred to the HKCEC for handling.
13. Bad Weather Arrangement
Please note that the forum will proceed as scheduled unless otherwise notified. We have taken the necessary precautions and arrangements to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants during such circumstances.
14. Disclaimer
Whilst every attempt has been made to ensure that all aspects of the HKMF announced will take place as scheduled, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to make changes at any time should the need arise.
