Dr. Min-Han Tan is the founding CEO and medical director (2017 – current) of Lucence, a precision oncology company operating twin CAP and CLIA-licensed laboratories in Singapore and Palo Alto. Trained as a medical oncologist and clinical cancer geneticist, Dr. Tan has contributed to over 130 original research papers spanning basic, translational and clinical medicine, with special interests in precision medicine and liquid biopsies, receiving numerous awards.

Dr. Tan obtained his MBBS from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1998 and completed his cancer specialist training at NCCS in 2003. He was awarded the Gerber Foundation and Lee Foundation Fellowships to pursue cancer genetics at Van Andel Research Institute, Michigan and Cleveland Clinic, Ohio. He received his PhD in molecular epidemiology and biostatistics from NUS in 2011. He was elected Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh in 2015. He developed Singapore’s first national practice framework for cancer care in Singapore, as the lead editor of the 1st Singapore Cancer Network (SCAN) Guidelines (2013-2017).
