Dr. Sue Pedersen

Dr. Sue Pedersen is a Specialist in Endocrinology and Metabolism, a certified American Board of Obesity Medicine diplomate, and a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Calgary, Canada. She completed her training as an endocrinologist at the University of Calgary in 2005. Dr. Pedersen’s clinical endocrinology practice is at the C-endo Diabetes & Endocrinology Clinic in Calgary.
Dr. Pedersen is very involved in type 2 diabetes and obesity research. She is a principal, National Lead, and/or Global Panel investigator for several studies of diabetes and obesity pharmacotherapy and is an author of many peer-reviewed publications. She is the lead author on the Pharmacotherapy chapter of the 2020, 2022, and 2025 Canadian Obesity Clinical Practice Guidelines, and a member of the Expert Committee for the Diabetes Canada guidelines as a co-author of the Weight Management chapter.
